Program Description

Event Details

“Dyeing Silk Scarves for Beginners,” will be exploring three different dyeing techniques. Two of the techniques involve supplies often found in the home, and will be used to complete two scarves that participants will be able to take home.  The other technique, which will be a group effort, involves decorating using a special ‘resist’ technique to produce a scarf to be displayed at the library.

This is a two-week series led by local artist Ricki Grunberg, whose artistry involves a variety of media including metals, plant materials, bones, and silk.  Ricki specializes in painting skulls and gourds, as well as painting and dyeing silk scarves.

Register for one of 2 sessions, to take place on March 9th and March 16th of either the 9:30 am class, or the 11 am class.
