Event Details

This special Fall Family Night Event will be hosted at the Pioneer Log Village, as weather permits*. We will be near or in the picnic shelter, other spaces/buildings of the museum will not be open for inside viewing.

  • 6-6:30pm - Families with children of all ages are invited to a cozy PJ Storytime complete with books and songs and a take-home craft. This is an outdoor program, so bring blankets, bug spray, flashlights, etc. as needed for your family.

  • 6:30pm - Warm beverages and a light snack will be provided for all ages. At this time, all those under the age of 10/not yet in fifth grade will be asked to depart as those coming for the Star Party start showing up!

  • 6:30-7:30pm - Tweens (10+), Teens, and Adults will join astronomer John Heasley of Driftless Stargazing for guided-viewing of the night sky. Dress for the evening temperatures, as needed (jackets, mittens, boots, etc) and feel free to bring your own binoculars, if you have them.

*In case of cloudy conditions or light rain, event will be modified to be under the picnic shelter. In case of hazardous conditions or storms, event may be cancelled at the discretion of library staff and guest presenter.
