Clare Briggs and the Art of Cartooning

Madison-area writer and cartoonist Jay Rath presents a history of Reedsburg native and nationally beloved cartoonist Clare Briggs, who revolutionized comedy and media. Briggs invented the daily comic strip and the broadcast sit-com at the turn of the 20th century. 

Rath will also be leading a series of hands-on cartooning workshops in October at the library.
